Our main goal in Waen is to create timeless and dramatic pieces that are powerful enough for special events but yet versatile to use after the events. Through the years in the industry, we found out that people are investing in so many items for their dream weddings but most of these stay one-time-used products and rot in closets for years. That's why renting is so popular in the wedding industry; however, there are certain things you simply don't want to rent and keep unique and special, like your ring holder, right? And, wouldn't it be nice to keep using this memorable item in your daily life as a lovely remembrance of your big day?
After working with clear and sharp geometric forms for years, we surprisingly ended up mimicking nature with colorful fused glass pieces and honestly can't be more satisfied with the product came out. These blooming flowers are designed for holding almost anything, from jewelry to candles and they simply prove that the glass is rigid and fragile but yet more aesthetically responsive than people think.
For creating these pieces, we start by drawing and cutting petals from glass panels and then assemble all these petals together with soldering iron. The process is messy & long but definitely worth the final result. Currently, we have 12 colors available from pretty pastels to bold orange and black and more will be coming soon!
